Kiril Isakov and Yulia Golimbovskaya (Riga, Latvia)
Our child was 1.5 years old at the moment of the trip. It was a very difficult trip for us morally, and the long flight scared us a great deal, considering we had a baby. We were afraid whether they'll be meeting us at the airport, then spending a few more hours en route to the island. We picked Thoddhoo as our destination. It was suggested to us by Andrey. We arranged all the dates with him, struck deals, arrange individual yacht transfers - which cost $200 one way. We were met by Moosa, the owner of the Vacation Home, upon arrival in the Maldives. The transfer was a lengthy one, but we had picked a rather remote island ourselves.
When we arrived at the island, Andrey met us driving in a small truck. We were seated in the back of it, which was cool - we were driving in a huge, well-aired cabriolet. The first impression we had was of an undescribable beauty. There were exotic smells of fruit, flowers. There was the sun and the tropical heat. We were met at the Vacation Home with fruit! We had arrived in paradise!
The house was cozy with AC everywhere and a spacious bed. It had a shower, a large terrace and a kitchen where we cooked food. There's a cafe at the guesthouse and one on the island, with meals costing about $10 per person. We picked Maldivian breakfast, which consisted of tasty pancakes and tuna salad. There was fresh juice from exotic fruit. The guesthouse offered free snorkeling equipment with fins and a mask.
But what was most amazing was the beach. It's very beautiful and clean. You have to walk about ten minutes to the beach from the guesthouse. It did not scare us, as we were busy enjoying the nature. Andrey was always there to help when we turned to him. They even gave us a free snorkeling trip.
We recommend the Vacation Home to those going to Thoddoo. Everyone is very positive and welcoming. It's very good with children here. Thank you Andrey and Wild Maldives for organizing things and helping when we were there. Naseem and Moosa - thank you for the excursions and the vacation.
