Bodufolhudhoo
Island is surrounded by local reef which is amazing for snorkelling. Rich coral reef vegetation is home for hundreds of species of multicoloured equatorial fishes and larger sea animals. There are few snorkelling and dive sites around this atoll.
As the place is quite far away from Male, it still has rustic Maldivian lifestyle.
Local people care a lot about the beaches and nature being clean, so Bodufolhudhoo is one of the cleanest islands of the atoll. Though the first guest house opened here in 2015 only, locals are very friendly and willing to improve tourism. Bodufolhudhoo is the first island to ban plastic bags in the shops, so they are replaced with the cotton ones. Five minute drive away there is Mathiveri Finolhu sandbank where tourists from Bodufolhudhoo can get by motorboat. Also nearby there is a resort island Nika, where visitors can get a tour around or just enjoy some time in the restaurant or bar. There are two local cafes on the island, large children`s playground, as well as diving and water sports center being built.
