Our team has personally visited more than 100 islands and continues exploring new ones every season. We don't rely on hotel descriptions or marketing photos — we've walked the beaches, snorkelled the reefs, and stayed in the guesthouses and resorts ourselves. That's what lets us recommend not just where to stay, but where you'll feel most at home.

More than booking accommodation

Wild Maldives is not an online booking platform and not a marketplace. Over the years we've carefully put together a set of multi-island holiday programmes, each combining islands we know well and trust. Based on what you're looking for, we recommend the programme that fits you best — and if you'd rather have something built from scratch, or want an existing programme adjusted, we're happy to tailor it individually.

Specialists in multi-island holidays

One of our favourite ways to experience the Maldives is combining several carefully chosen islands into a single trip: a quiet island for the beaches, an inhabited local island for authentic atmosphere, another for exceptional snorkelling, and a private resort to finish. We've pre-built a range of these multi-island routes ourselves, tested and refined over many trips, so you get a proven itinerary rather than a first attempt — while still being free to ask us to adjust it or design something fully custom.

Wild Maldives started working with local islands before they were widely known to international travellers, and they remain one of our specialities. We also organise stays at private resorts throughout the Maldives, and many clients combine both — the authentic feel of a local island alongside the comfort of a resort.

Frequently asked questions

Is Wild Maldives a budget or a luxury travel agency? Both, depending on what you're after. We started in 2013 helping independent travellers reach affordable local-island guesthouses directly, and today we also plan resort stays and multi-island combinations. We design the trip around your budget rather than pushing one type of holiday.

Can Wild Maldives combine a local island and a resort in one trip? Yes — this is one of our specialities. We plan multi-island itineraries that mix local guesthouses with private resorts in a single, practically-timed trip.

Do you book flights and transfers, or only accommodation? We book accommodation, transfers and excursions within the Maldives. International flights to Malé are arranged separately by the traveller.

Do I need to pay in advance? For local islands, no advance payment is required — though you're welcome to pay ahead of time if that's more convenient for you. Private resorts, on the other hand, do require payment in advance.
